What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Account information: Your email address and account credentials.
  • Subscription data: Your subscription status and transaction history stored by us. (Note: Apple and Google retain their own payment records as per their policies.)
  • Reading preferences: Any saved preferences, bookmarks, or reading history linked to your account.

What Is Not Deleted

The following data is not affected by account deletion because it is not linked to your identity:

  • Anonymous usage data: Aggregated analytics data (e.g., story popularity, average session duration) collected through Firebase Analytics cannot be linked to individual users and is retained for product improvement.
  • Anonymous crash reports: Technical crash data collected through Firebase Crashlytics does not contain personally identifiable information and is retained to improve App stability.
Please note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will lose access to any active subscriptions and premium content associated with your account. If you have an active subscription, we recommend canceling it through the App Store or Google Play Store before deleting your account to avoid further charges.

Active Subscriptions

Deleting your Pitara Stories account does not automatically cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). To cancel your subscription:

  • iOS: Go to iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Pitara Stories > Cancel Subscription.
  • Android: Go to Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > Pitara Stories > Cancel Subscription.

We recommend canceling your subscription before requesting account deletion.
